The 10th Zodiacal extension from 120.00 degree to 133.20 degree is called Magha Nakshatra. Here also, like the Aslesha Nakshatra a dispute in regard to the number of stars in the Magha Group has arise. Dispute has arisen due to the lesser brightness of two stars in the group of 6 stars. Magha Nakshatra appears to be like a line of 5 stars lined like a rod; whereas under the 6 star system its appears to be in the shape of a house. Magha means ‘Mighty’.
The presiding deity is ‘The Pitaras’ meaning ‘Fathers’ and ‘Manes’ of the departed.

A. Male Natives –
i) Physical Features: He has a prominent neck and a hairy body. There is a mole in the hands and also beneath the shoulder. Medium size height. Innocent looking countenance.
ii) Character and General Events: He is very enterprising. He will respect elders. God fearing. He enjoys life. He is expert in various sciences and soft spoken. He likes to lead a noiseless life.
