1) Rohini, Uttara-Phalguni, Uttara-Asadha and Uttara-Bhadrapada are good for oath taking ceremony by Ministers and other VIPs, laying foundation of cities and sowing operations.

2) Acvini, Pushya, Hasta and Abhijit are good for starting industries.

3) Cravana, Cravistha, Catabhisaj and Punarvasu are good for acquiring vehicles.

4) Pushya for any work other than marriage.

5) For Namkaran or Name-Giving Ceremony of the new born child

10^th, 12^th or 16^th day of Child’s Birth. Anuradha, Punarvasu, Magha, Uttara-Phalguni, Uttara-Asadha, Uttara-Bhadrapada, Catabhisaj, Svati, Cravistha, Cravana, Rohini, Acvini, Mrgacirsha, Revati, Hasta and Pushya falling on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are good.

6) First feeding of rice or other cereals

First feeding of Cereals may be done on the 6^th, 8^th and 9^th month of the new born child. Acvini, Mrgacirsha, Punarvasu, Cravistha, Pushya, Hastha, Svati, Anuradha, Cravana, Satabhishaj and Citra falling on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are good.

7) Ear Boring

This may be done on the 12^th or 16^th day of the new born child or if it is not possible then in the 6^th, 7^th or 8^th month either in the forenoon or in the afternoon but not at night. Avoid the day when two Naksathras are in operation. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are good.

8) First Hair Cutting Ceremony (Mundane)

3^rd or 5^th year of the child. Punarvasu, Mrgacirsha, Cravistha, Cravana, Revati, Pushya, Citra, Asvini, Hasta falling on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are good. Avoid New and Full Moon days.

9) Commencing Education for the First Time in the life of a child

5^th day of the 5^th month of the 5^th year. This day should be reckoned from the birth nakshatra falling in the 5^th year and not calendar day. Acvini, Punarvasu, Ardra, Hasta, Citra, Svati, Cravana and Revati falling on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

10) Shifting Residence

Avoid the birth constellation of self and family members involved in the shifting. Anuradha, Mragacirsha and Hasta are good.

11) Repairing Houses

Friday. Best is when Jupiter transit Rohini, Mrgacirsha, Aclesha, Uttara-Phalguni, Uttara-Asadha, Uttara-Bhadrapada and Cravana.

12) Surgical Operations

Operation may be done, if possible when the moon is in the increase but avoid the exact time of Full Moon. Avoid own birth Nakshatra. Best day is Tuesday and Saturday when Ardra, Jyestha, Aclesha or Mula coinciding with 4^th, 9^th or 14^th lunar day are ruling. Avoid when Mars and Saturn are in aspect each other.
